Senator Wirch is dedicated to promoting economic growth for the citizens of Wisconsin.   He was a leader on legislation which required the state of Wisconsin to contract with companies within the United States.  This discourages companies from outsourcing jobs overseas and keeps them in Wisconsin where they belong. 

Senator Wirch is also a strong advocate for workers' rights.  He believes that true economic development means family supporting jobs for Wisconsin workers.  He stands up for middle class families by ensuring they have the rights and benefits they deserve.
