Voting Information
1) When is the Election?
The Republicans will be having a Primary on July 19th. I will not be on the ballot for the primary, only the General Election. The General Election will be August 16th.
2) Where do I vote?
Go to vpa.wi.gov to find your polling place.
3) Do I need a photo ID?
NO. A poll worker may ask you to present one (as a test run) when you vote. However, if you don’t have one, you will not be turned away. Instead, you’ll be allowed to vote, and you’ll get a reminder that an ID will be required at the next election.
4) I just moved to a new address. Do I need to register to vote?
NO. If you can register ahead of time, that is ideal. However, Wisconsin law does allow you to register and vote on the same day. However, you must be able to provide proof that you have lived at your current Wisconsin residence for at least 28 days before the election.
5) Can I still vote early?
YES. Early voting is different from absentee voting. You may vote early anytime between August 1 and August 12 by visiting your town or city clerk’s office in person during the clerk’s regular business hours.
If you have any questions about the proof you’ll need to provide regarding your residency, or if you have any other questions about voting in the recall election please call 262-757-8397. We’ll be very glad to answer any questions you may have!
